The PARAFull Mission is to guide, inspire, and motivate those with physical handicaps to understand that their life doesn't have to be limited. Their life does not HAVE to stop when a tragedy hits. Just because we lack certain abilities, their is NO LIMIT to what we can accomplish. After my car accident in 2008, I was left to figure out how to live a life without one of the most natural abilities I was born with, which was, to walk. It took me an incredibly long time to accept my wheels, and I still struggle with that from time to time, but for the most part, I have come to terms with my "DIS-ability". I spent a lot of time brainstorming. I believed I survived for a reason. In 2008, I wasn't ready to die. My time here was unfinished. In my lifetime- there was still work that needed to be done.
With that being said, this blog is dedicated to all those suffering with a spinal cord injury. My hope is that you find some comfort in my words, understanding that you are not alone and what your are going through is normal. This blog is dedicated to the support system and the caretakers that an SCI patient has around them- Mom's & Dad's, Brothers & Sisters, Best friends & partners- you are the rock to keep us sane. It takes a strong person to stick by the side of someone as tortured as I was, but I hope you will find peace in my words and know that you are very, very appreciated.
Be Strong. Be Proud. Be PARAFull
